According to GB today, we have 3 Re-Founders who have bravely and wisely stepped forward to say "No More".
Have our representatives and senators man upped?

A letter, email, and phone call is due to all of our servants in DC to remind them that they work for us. They should begin packing their bags or join the Re-Founders of America in ending the corruption in DC.

Be a Watchdog for America. Any of you who work or circulate in areas of government or in business where you know of corruption even down to the local level, please get the information to GB. We all have to be part of the Re-Founders by stepping up.

The American founders frequently alluded to and quoted the Bible in their political rhetoric. This fact alone reveals little about how and for what purposes the founding generation used the Bible and, importantly, how the Bible influenced the political thought of the founding era.

Drawing on some of the most familiar rhetoric of the founding era, our American Founders Luncheon speaker, Dr. Daniel Dreisbach of American University, will examine the founders' diverse uses of Scripture in political discourse. Recognizing the founders' distinct uses of scripture is important because it can be misleading to read spiritual meaning into purely political or rhetorical uses of the Bible or vice versa.

Planning for the California Homecoming Parade Float and walkers will take place.
The theme is "Hollywood Homecoming". We can surely have FUN with that theme!

We can't say it any better than Glenn has presented in this book our current dilemma in America.
We have a plan. It will be detailed at our next meeting. Those who work to unravel America while so many sleep have laid it out for us.

Take Action to Protect Pennsylvania's Drinking Water!

Protect your drinking water from pollution
Ask your State Senator to support the Safer Drinking Water Act.

Drinking water sources have little special protection in Pennsylvania from pollution. In fact, millions of residents drink from rivers that are the lowest quality in the state, some not even meeting federal Clean Water Act standards. Polluters can discharge some chemicals into our waterways without limit, requiring expensive treatment by drinking water plants to remove the contaminants. Every year, we site chemical storage tanks or gas stations near our public wells and river intakes without thinking that leaks and accidents could contaminate our drinking water.
A pristine trout stream in Pennsylvania receives much more protection from pollution than the average stream providing our drinking water. While we want to make sure our fishing spots are protected, our families deserve protection as well!
We need your help - take action to protect Pennsylvania's drinking water sources!

On Earth Day, eighteen Pennsylvania State Senators introduced SB 777, state legislation that would protect rivers, streams, and aquifers (groundwater) that supply our public drinking water.

This bill, the Safer Drinking Water Act, will provide special protection to any water that supplies the public with its drinking water.

Send an e-mail and let your Pennsylvania State Senator know that you want them to support the Safer Drinking Water Act and push for a vote in the State Senate soon.

Reminder: The two Republicans who didn’t vote: Jeff Flake (AZ) and John Sullivan (OK). Our Country is more important than a beauty pageant. Sullivan should have found his way to the vote.

Flake had a “family conflict” (his daughter was supposedly in a beauty pageant in Alabama on Saturday and Sullivan is going through alcohol treatment. Dem. Rep. Patrick Kennedy was pulled out of rehab to cast his vote.

Not One Red Cent should go to any legislator who voted in favor of Cap & Trade.

You will remember this in 2010 as our economy will be in shambles.

The Full Text of the Cap & Trade (tax) Bill

The House barely passed the most recent version of the Cap & Trade Bill Friday night long after most of us had gone to bed.
While most news coverage was focused on Michael Jackson, the House quietly passed this 932 page Bill that had over 300 pages of add on details which were added in the last hours.
It is impossible that our legislators read this bill in its entirety due to time restrictions thereby risking our economic future in America with their negligence to due diligence.

According to the Wall Street Journal, "The hit to GDP is the real threat in this bill. The whole point of cap and trade is to hike the price of electricity and gas so that Americans will use less. These higher prices will show up not just in electricity bills or at the gas station but in every manufactured good, from food to cars. Consumers will cut back on spending, which in turn will cut back on production, which results in fewer jobs created or higher unemployment. Some companies will instead move their operations overseas, with the same result.

The reality is that cost estimates for climate legislation are as unreliable as the models predicting climate change. What comes out of the computer is a function of what politicians type in. A better indicator might be what other countries are already experiencing. Britain's Taxpayer Alliance estimates the average family there is paying nearly $1,300 a year in green taxes for carbon-cutting programs in effect only a few years.

Americans should know that those Members who vote for this climate bill are voting for what is likely to be the biggest tax in American history."

House Members Finalizing Proposal to Overhaul Financial Regulatory System

House Republicans are finalizing their plan to overhaul the financial regulatory system, which would direct failing companies into bankruptcy instead of bailouts and would strip the Federal Reserve of its oversight authority on the financial industry, according to people close to the discussions.

These people described the plan as one that “stops rewarding failure,” ensures “taxpayers are never again asked to pick up the tab for bad bets on Wall Street” and restores “market discipline.”

Republican members of the House Financial Services Committee are aiming to complete their proposal with House Republican leadership by Tuesday. House Democrats and the Obama Administration are writing the details of their proposals, perhaps announcing their reform bill in the next couple of weeks, according to Administration officials.

The Republican plan offers direct opposition to the creation of a systemic risk regulator and granting the government resolution authority -- two integral components of regulatory reform backed by the White House, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, House and Senate leadership, and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke.

The Republican plan calls for the creation of a Consumer Protection and Market Stability Board instead of a systemic risk regulator, according to people close to the negotiations. The board would monitor the economy for regulatory gaps and report that information to Congress and existing regulatory agencies. It would have no enforcement authority.

The House Republican proposal would also subject the Federal Reserve to audits by the Government Accountability Office, and strips it of many of its oversight and consumer protection powers and transfers them to other agencies. The plan would also combine the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Office of Thrift Supervision, according to people close to the negotiations.

The House Republican proposal also challenges the idea of a systemic risk regulator. This plan calls for failing, systemically important companies to go through the existing bankruptcy process. The proposal would create a new chapter in the bankruptcy code to allow judges to halt claims by creditors to avoid runs on the company, according to people close to the negotiations.

The proposal would end the conservatorships of Fannie Mae (FNM: 0.69, -0.01, -1.43%) and Freddie Mac (FRE: 0.7464, -0.0247, -3.2%) -- longstanding Republican targets -- in the next two years, and mandate they transform into fully private institutions.

The proposal also calls for stricter oversight of credit-rating firms and stronger authority for government agencies to enforce consumer protections.

The Pike Days Event held on Saturday, May 16th in Richeyville PA was a huge success! Over 500 hundred personal contacts were made with people just like you who were there to enjoy the historic events and fun of the annual festivities. Our "Patriots for Freedom, The 9/12 Project" flyer was presented to each visitor and passerby followed by the good news that we do have the power to bring Washington to face truth honoring and following the Constitution. Washington has encroached into many areas in which they have no authority as described by the 9th and 10th Amendments in our Constitution. In our coming meetings, the next which is on May 28th in California, PA, we will detail this incursion by the Federal Government and how we can reverse it. The 9 Principles and 12 Values of the 9/12 Project are the very basis of our Constitution. What brilliance our Founding Fathers possessed!

Chrysler files for bankruptcy, UAW will own 55%

This past week, Chrysler filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
This after $6.4 billion was given to Chrysler in Tarp funds. The federal government agreed to give Chrysler 55% ownership and up to $8 billion in additional aid and to back its warranties. The UAW will get $4.6 billion and 9% interest plus $600million in legacy cost (retirees), all from the Taxpayers. They also get 1 director on the board.
The Taxpayer, You & Me, get 8% ownership in the new Chrysler. Chrysler owed the Taxpayers $4 billion from the TARP funds plus $300 million in fees. The Taxpayers got $0.00 in the bankruptcy settlement from those loans. Congress will get to select 4 Directors for the new board.
Canada UAW will get 1 director for the board.

Congress has bilked the American Taxpayers with this deal with the UAW and Chrysler. Remember, when the TARP loans were explained to us, we were assured the Taxpayers would make a profit on the monies loaned to the Auto Companies and the Banks.
We have been stiffed.

Next on the block is GM. The word is that GM UAW will get as generous a deal as Chrysler UAW was given.

One would think our media source would report this bilking of the American Taxpayers. Don't they pay tax too?

Acorn accused of Fraud now in 12 States

ACORN, present and former ACORN employees or its third-party voter registration affiliates are under investigation for or facing charges of voter registration fraud now in 12 states (Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin).

In addition to the twelve states identified by the Wall Street Journal, allegations regarding ACORN misconduct have also arisen in Louisiana, Minnesota and Virginia.

ACORN Housing Corporation (AHC) was knee-deep in the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac failures which have riveted our economy. Promoting an ACORN housing development in Texas on its website in 2006, ACORN boasted “in addition to providing access to AHP grants, ACORN’s lending partners provide low cost, easier to qualify for mortgage loans.”

Citizen Services Inc. (CSI), described in a 2006 ACORN publication as "ACORN's campaign services entity" was formed in 2004to "assist persons and organizations who advance the interests of low- and moderate-income people," according to paperwork filed in Louisiana. ^[19] CSI was hired at the start of the 2008 election season by the Barack Obama Presidential campaign to conduct "polling, advance work, and staging major events," however, it was later discovered that the organization also engaged in "get out the vote efforts." The Obama campaign subsequently had to amend FEC filings that listed CSI's work as only the former.

SEIU

See the Services Employees International Union (SEIU) for activities of SEIU related to ACORN. Wade Rathke was the founder and Chief Organizer of ACORN International and SEIU Local 100
SEIU organized protesters who harassed AIG bonus recipients at their homes in recent months. They did not do the same for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac recipients of even larger bonuses.

Project Vote

Project Vote, a non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization and ACORN affiliate, was founded in 1982. It conducts third-party voter registration drives. According to Project Vote's official website, Project Vote provides "professional training, management, evaluation and technical services on a broad continuum of key issues related to voter engagement and participation in low-income and minority communities." ^[23]. It primarily focuses on encouraging "active participation" in the democratic process from "all sectors of society, and works hard to engage low-income and minority voters in the civic process."

Keep a watch on this as more will be discovered on the activities of Acorn, its affiliates listed above, and where taxpayer money was spent as investigations progress in many states.

Jesusita Fire Forces Out 30,000 Residents

Firefighters in the Santa Barbara area struggled Friday to get ahead of a raging wildfire that has moved dangerously close to heavily populated areas around this idyllic coastal city and forced the evacuation of roughly 30,000 people.

Officials said 11 firefighters were injured, including three who were hurt when they sheltered in a house during a firestorm.

Conditions for fighting the fire were not expected to improve Friday, with weather forecasts calling for low humidity, wind gusts that could reach 65 mph and temperatures that could top 100 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Texas joins Montana in re-asserting State's Rights

A bill by state Rep. Leo Berman exempting Texas-made firearms, gun accessories and ammunition sold within the state from federal regulation and law — including registration — was heard in a House committee on Monday.

The bill also provides for the Texas Attorney General’s office to defend Texans who run afoul of the federal government because of this law.

Berman, a Tyler Republican who has pushed several “states’ rights” measures this legislative session, said his bill would affect more than 300 manufacturers in the state.

“Under the 9th and 10th Amendments of the U.S. Constitution, states have responsibility for regulating intrastate commerce,” Berman said. “The federal government has no role.”

Worse, he said, the federal government would like to increase regulations.

“With the appointment of Eric Holder as U.S. attorney general, we have the most anti-Second Amendment attorney general in the history of the nation,” Berman said. “What we’re saying with this is there are some guns not subject to federal regulation. We have guns and gun accessories and ammunition here that are not subject to their regulation.”

President Obama’s budget requests are just that -- simply requests. Congress can -- and will -- reject many of these items. At the top of that rejection list could be the added bailout measures, for one thing.

Here are some notable items in the President’s budget requests:

--Cap and Trade Tax to start in 2012

--Securities and Exchange Commission budget increased from $961 million to $1.026 billion.

--SEC Enforcement Division gets an increase of 6.6%.

--Internal Revenue Service tax compliance nearly doubles to $890 million. (The President just announced saving $210 billion over 10 years by cracking down on tax havens. He wants the IRS to hire 800 new employees).

--Food and Drug Administration funding increased 14% to $3 billion.

--Projected Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. losses of $91 billion results in "steady increases" in banks' deposit insurance fees.

--$250 billion set aside for another bailout (this number is based on projected losses. Allocating $250 billion would allow the government to loan $750 billion).

--$1 billion for the low-income housing fund.

--Assumes auction of 100% of the carbon credits for cap and trade.

--10-year, $634 billion reserve fund for a down payment for proposed health care overhaul

Castle Doctrine Self-Defense Bill Introduced in the Keystone State!

Please Contact the Members of the PA Senate Judiciary Committee Today!

State Senator Richard Alloway (R-33) has introduced critical self-defense reform legislation (Senate Bill 842) to protect the rights of law-abiding gun owners in Pennsylvania. This Castle Doctrine self-defense bill has been referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

SB842 would permit law-abiding citizens to use force, including deadly force, against an attacker in their homes and any places outside of their home where they have a legal right to be. It is clearly stated that there would be no “duty to retreat” from an attacker, allowing law-abiding citizens to stand their ground to protect themselves and their family. SB842 would also protect individuals from civil lawsuits by the attacker or the attacker’s family when force is used.

Congress FastTracking Legislation to Do an End Run

Our numbers are at 102 this week.
Please follow through with contacts to all of these legislators stating our outrage at this end run around the normal process with passing legislation. Fast Tracking legislation will make it even more difficult to stop the current proposed bills. Copy this to everyone on your email list please.

LAST week the Senate passed the Obama budget with massive tax increases, a doubling of the national debt and fast-track provisions for socialized healthcare.

The vote was 53-43.

12 key Democrats had voiced opposition to fast-tracking were identified last week. Several specifically signed a letter opposing use of this procedural trickery to pass the carbon tax and "Roll Call" magazine said many of these also opposed fast-tracking for healthcare.

In all, 9 of the 12 identified voted in favor of fast-tracking socialized healthcare... and here's the names:

Lobbyists Ask White House To Ease Lobbying Rules (cbs news)

Lobbyists and leaders of public interest groups are meeting with White House officials to seek a roll back of the ban on lobbyists discussing economic stimulus projects with federal officials.

President Barack Obama imposed the prohibition last month in hopes of reducing the influence lobbyists might have over how the $787 billion economic stimulus package will be doled out. Lobbyists have complained that the rules inhibit their freedom of speech.

Dave Wenhold, president of the American League of Lobbyists, said he would meet Thursday with White House ethics officer Norm Eisen. Representatives of the American Civil Liberties Union and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington also will attend, Wenhold said.

The Text of the Constitution, Amendment I (Ratified December 15, 1791)

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

When you contact your legislator today, be sure to remind him/her of this amendment. HR 1913 will violate your and your Pastor/Priest rights to freely exercise your religious speech and practices.

This legislation is designed for only two purposes: to further the gay/transgender agenda and to silence anyone who opposes this agenda.

The hate crimes bill will be used to lay the legal foundation and framework to investigate, prosecute and persecute pastors, business owners, Bible teachers, Sunday School teachers, youth leaders, Christian counselors, religious broadcasters and anyone else whose actions are based upon and reflect the truths found in the Bible.

H.R. 1913 broadly defines "intimidation," thus a pastor's sermon could be considered "hate speech" under this legislation if heard by an individual who then acts aggressively against persons based on any "sexual orientation." The pastor could be prosecuted for "conspiracy to commit a hate crime.

Very important legislation will be up for a vote on Wednesday regarding Hate Crime Legislation. This Bill could limit free speech in Churches. Please look over the details and contact your legislator to vote NO to H.R. 1913: Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009. Often, a Bill has a name which makes it sound like a good thing but in enforcement becomes an infringement on our Constitutional Rights. This is such a Bill. Government refuses exit on bailouts, Only Equities

Yes, some banks that took the TARP monies now want out of the program. They don't want to be labeled with a Scarlett Letter of Failure. Our government doesn't want to let them out of the program. Instead, they have broached the idea of converting the debt into equities. Right now, our government has preferred shares representing loans from our government. They want to change preferred shares into common equities at the 19 banks receiving TARP funds for banks that need additional capital. This move would place troubled banks more directly into the seat of taxpayers, and potentially bring about a type of nationalization like we’ve already seen with AIG and Citigroup. Conversion of preferred shares into common would boost the government’s stake in a bank, possibly leading to greater government control over the institution. The move would wipe out existing shareholders, of course, but also would recapitalize banks without actually costing us/the government any more of our taxpayer money. But who will call the shots at the shareholders meeting? Think about it.
